DESCRIPTION
CORKSCREW
Field of the Invention
The invention relates to a corkscrew.
5
State of the art
Corkscrews used to uncork bottles and other containers are known. However, known corkscrews present a series of problems when trying to uncork a container, which remain unsolved:
10 i) sometimes the corks are broken, thus damaging the contents of the container to be opened;
ii) the force needed to pry makes difficult and uncorks the attempt to uncork;
iii) the positioning of the corkscrew is unstable during the uncorking maneuver, making the operation slower, because the user is forced to readjust the
15 position of the corkscrew to be able to continue with the opening maneuver;
iv) it is difficult to extract the cork by interference or rubbing of the cork with elements of the corkscrew that hinder the extraction, thereby increasing the force necessary to be able to extract the cork.
These problems not only hinder the operation of uncorking, but they can frustrate the attempt for the cork breakage and even for the rupture of the container caused by a user scuffing when trying to uncork that can end the bottle's coffee.
Description of the invention
The invention relates to a corkscrew as defined in the independent claim. The dependent claims define preferred embodiments of the invention.

Detailed description of the invention
As described, a basic embodiment of the invention refers to a corkscrew comprising:
1a) a spiral (1) comprising:
1a1) a free end (11) configured to be inserted into a cork (7) to be extracted;
1a2) a connection end (12) opposite the free end (11);
1 b) a spiral guide (2) (1) comprising:
1b1) a first seat (21), configured to accommodate the connecting end (12) in an extraction start position;
1b2) a second seat (22), configured to accommodate the connecting end (12) 30 in an end-of-extraction position.
The spiral system (1) and spiral guide (2) of the invention allows a cork to be extracted with less effort when levering than with known corkscrews. According to other features of the invention:
2a) The corkscrew may comprise a support (3) comprising a seat end (31) configured to be supported in a mouth of a container covered by the cork (7) and a cavity (32) configured to avoid interference with a Cork (7) to be extracted. The support (3) does not touch the cork (7) during extraction, 5 since, in addition to having only one recess for a contact in a single position
with the mouth of the container, instead of the usual two, it also has the shape defined by the cavity (32). The combination of the spiral (1) with the spiral guide (2) (1) and the support (3) of the invention, facilitate the cork extraction maneuver (7) against the known corkscrews, not only for the smallest necessary force 10 to pry, but because the support (3), being one piece and having a unique
recess to contact the container, makes the corkscrew of the invention have a more stable behavior during the extraction process than the known corkscrews, thus facilitating the operation to the user who is opening the container, not only because it has to exert less force, but because the opening action is more comfortable.
3a) The corkscrew can also comprise a handle (4) comprising a first joint (41) configured to be connected with the guide (2).
4a) The handle (4) can comprise a second joint (42) configured to be connected with the support (3).
20 5. The spiral (1), the guide (2), the support (3), the handle (4), the first joint (41) and the
Second articulation (42) can be connected to define:
5a) an open position of the corkscrew configured to allow an introduction of the spiral (1) into the cork (7) to be extracted;
5b) a lever position where the support (3) is supported in a mouth of a container covered by the cork (7);
5c) an extraction start position where the connection end (12) is in the first seat (21);
5d) an end of extraction position where the connection end (12) is in the second seat (22);
30 5e) a closed position where:
5e1) the support (3) and the handle (4) are closed around the second joint (42);
5e2) the spiral (1) and the guide (2) are contained between the support (3) and the handle (4).
The closed position is the usual one when the corkscrew is not in use. In the closed position, the support (3) and the handle (4) define a cavity where the spiral (1) and the guide (2) are housed.
6. The corkscrew can also comprise a knife (5). The knife (5) can be connected to the second joint (42). The knife (5) can comprise an integrated projection (6). The highlight (6) allows a bottle to be more easily decapsulated.
The projection can be a folding of the same material as the steel of the knife, that is, that the knife (5) and the projection (6) constitute a single piece.
9. The spiral (1) can comprise four turns.
10 In this way, the spiral (1), having four turns instead of the usual five, is shorter and does not completely cross the cork (7), preventing part of the cork from falling into the contents of the container, spoiling said content, For example wine.
